DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

Arrival at Noi Bai Airport, our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to hotel for check in and relax. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR DAY

At 8:30 am, we'll meet you in the hotel lobby for a full day of exploration in Hanoi. In the morning, we'll visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Next, we'll explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university dating back to 1070. A local Vietnamese lunch is included. In the afternoon, we'll visit the Hanoi Hilton museum (Hoa Lo prison) and then head to Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. The Ngoc Son Temple, set on a tiny island, has a history dating back to the 13th century. Following this, enjoy a one-hour cyclo tour through the narrow, bustling streets of the Old Quarter, a must for any visitor to Hanoi. The day concludes with a traditional performance of the famous Vietnamese water puppets. Return to the hotel, check in, and relax. At 6:30 pm, we start a Hanoi street food tour, providing insights into Vietnamese food culture. We'll try seasonal fruits, sample a French-inspired snack, and explore the Old Quarter's streets, tasting local dishes like Bun Cha Ta and Banh Cuon. Enjoy barbecue stalls with flame-grilled specialties, followed by a dessert stop for fresh fruit with crushed ice and condensed milk. Our guide will then take you to a hidden street food restaurant for a taste of the top ten street foods in Hanoi, including Banh My Hanoi, Vietnamese Rice Wine, and famous Egg Coffee. This hard-to-find café in the narrow streets of the Old Quarter is a local gem. If coffee isn't your preference, a cold beer awaits!
 
 

 

DAY 3: HANOI - MAI CHAU

At 8:00 AM, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to embark on a morning drive to Mai Chau, leaving the urban hustle behind and traversing through rugged mountain landscapes. As we ascend a massive pass, we'll reach the picturesque Mai Chau mountainous circus by noon. Enjoy a local Thai house lunch. In the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll around Mai Chau valley before a brief transfer to the quaint village of Mai Hich. If the weather allows, there's an opportunity for a short cycling excursion around the lush village. Later, return to the village for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay in a stilt house hosted by our amiable Thai hosts. During this 'Homestay' experience, you'll be accommodated by a local family in their traditional house-on-stilts. There are no private rooms, and you'll rest on the floor in a communal area. The sleeping arrangement includes a single mattress (thin, but sufficient), blankets, a pillow, and a mosquito net. The restroom, meeting international standards, is conveniently located just a few steps from the main house.

DAY 4: MAI CHAU - PU LUONG

After breakfast, bid farewell to our hosts and head east for approximately 15 km, entering the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. You'll then disembark for a 2-hour trek on a single trail, meandering through Thai villages and rice terraces, with opportunities to pause at local houses along the way. Meet your car for a quick transfer to our lunch stop at a cozy lodge. In the afternoon, venture into the wilderness with an exhilarating hike on trails across the reserve's second half, leading to its western edge. The hike, lasting 3 to 4 hours, is of intermediate difficulty, so make sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring camera batteries. After an adventurous afternoon, reach the ecolodge, check in to private bungalows, and indulge in a refreshing swim in the cascades and natural pools surrounding the lodge. Enjoy a homemade dinner before a well-deserved rest. Overnight in Pu Luong.

DAY 5: PU LUONG - CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK - NINH BINH

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the lodge, offering the flexibility to relax based on the season and your preferences. Later, we'll set off for Ninh Binh, making a stop at Cuc Phuong National Park along the way. Explore the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, where you'll have the opportunity to capture glimpses of some of the world's rarest primate species. Embark on a 7km hike along trails with narrow rocky slopes, leading to the "Big Tree" and a 200-million-year-old dinosaur fossil. After the hike, we'll continue our drive to Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and unwind. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

DAY 6: NINH BINH - HOA LU - TAM COC

Following this, we head to Tam Coc, located 10 km away from Hoa Lu. King Dinh Tien Hoang strategically chose this mountainous location due to its ideal water systems for agriculture and defense. Marvel at the palaces, pagodas, tombs, and pavilions constructed by different dynasties as we explore the Dinh and Le Temples, the two enduring architectural wonders of Hoa Lu. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, embark on a bamboo boat rowed by local residents along the Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc, known as the "three caves." Along the way, immerse yourself in the beauty of the paddy fields, particularly vibrant in April or September. Next, explore Bich Dong Pagoda, composed of three pagodas situated at different levels on a lush green mountain, known for being featured in the French film 'Indochina.' Overnight in Ninh Binh.

DAY 7: NINH BINH - HANOI

Embark on a day tour to Bai Dinh Pagoda and Trang An Ecosystem. Explore the largest pagoda in Vietnam, Bai Dinh, featuring 500 La Han statues and the country's biggest bronze Buddha statue, standing at an impressive 10 meters in height and weighing 100 tons. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Next, head to the nearby Trang An Scenic Landscape complex, recently designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Hop on a rowing boat to navigate the small river, surrounded by picturesque mountains and green fields. Explore the cave complex of Trang An, including Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, and Nau Ruou, showcasing a mysterious and untamed beauty. Experience the Halong Bay-like scenery on land in Ninh Binh. Return to the harbor and then drive back to Hanoi.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. At 7:15 AM, our driver will pick you up for the journey to Sapa, taking the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway. Marvel at the stunning beauty of the northwest mountains with sparkling terraced fields, illuminated by sunlight or veiled in thick fog. Arrive in Sapa around 12:15 PM, check into the hotel, and savor lunch. In the afternoon, your Sapa guide will lead you on a trekking adventure. Begin by exploring Sapa market before leaving the bustling town behind. Descend to Cat Cat village, stopping at a waterfall and hydroelectric station along the way. Continue the trek on a dirt trail through picturesque rice paddy terraces, with captivating views of the surrounding landscapes. Reach Y Linh Ho village of the Black Hmong minority, where you can relax and spend the night in Sapa.

DAY 9: SAPA - FANSIPAN - LAO CHAI - TA VAN - SAPA

After breakfast, we drive to the Silver Waterfall, located about a half-hour from Sapa town. Offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush forests within Hoang Lien National Park, the Silver Waterfall provides a picturesque setting. Make a stop at a local farm for a cup of tea and a chat with the locals to gain insight into their daily lives. Continue the drive uphill to the Heavens Gate, the highest stretch of road in Vietnam and the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces. Take in the fantastic views over the valley! Following this, embark on a trek, initially on the road before turning onto a small path leading down the valley to the Muong Hoa River. Continue to the Black H'mong village of Lao Chai, where you'll encounter the proud and culturally rich Black H'mong minority. They showcase their traditions through their language and traditional indigo blue clothing. Continue the trek to Ta Van village (1,200 m) to visit the Zay people, a small minority group of about 38,000 individuals living in the mountains of Northwest Vietnam. Although some customs have been lost due to development, many Zay women still wear traditional shirts in vibrant colors like purple, blue, or green. Zay houses are constructed of wood and bamboo with clay floors. Spend the night in Sapa.

DAY 10: SAPA - HOANG SU PHI

After breakfast, transfer to Bac Ha market, the largest market in the region where various ethnic groups gather to trade, eat, and connect. With 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region, you can explore and purchase homemade handicrafts and clothes during the two-hour visit. Next, drive to Hoang Su Phi, a destination renowned for its breathtaking terraced rice fields, some of the most impressive in Vietnam. Established centuries ago, Hoang Su Phi is home to over 60,000 people from 17 ethnic minority groups. They primarily rely on rice cultivation and subsistence crops. Marvel at the stunning landscapes shaped by the Dao, Hmong, and Nung ethnic communities. After exploring, enjoy a leisurely day and a peaceful overnight stay at the Pan Hou Lodge. Please note: Bac Ha market is only held on Sundays, so the itinerary may be adjusted based on your departure date.
 

DAY 11: HOANG SU PHI - HA GIANG

After breakfast, follow scenic trails through rice terraces in Nam Khoa village, home to the Man Ta Pan ethnic group. Admire breathtaking views and gain insights into the daily lives of the locals. Encounter the Man Ta Pan and Long Tunics Dao communities during this trek. While the trek itself isn't strenuous, be mindful of weather conditions, and check the forecast beforehand for a smoother experience. The sunlight beautifully highlights the lush greenery of the rice fields. Learn about the culture of the Red Dzao, visit a nearby tea field in Phin Ho village to discover the oldest Shan Tuyet tea trees, and understand their significance in the local culture. Take a break before venturing to Nam Ai, where the Long Tunics Dao community resides. Experience the contrasts between the Red Dao and Long Tunics Dao cultures and savor a delightful meal with garden-produced ingredients. In Nam Ai, witness an ancient tea plant (over 100 years old) called Shan Tuyet tea, renowned in Vietnam. Enjoy a cup of fresh tea. Afterward, drive to Ha Giang for an overnight stay.

DAY 12: HA GIANG - DONG VAN

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, embark on a drive to Meo Vac, with a visit to the captivating Lung Khuy cave on the way. The highlight of the day is the awe-inspiring journey to Ma Pi Leng, featuring breathtaking scenery from the pass's summit. Explore Meo Vac and then proceed to Dong Van Market, renowned as the cradle of the Blue H'mong & Lo Lo people. These communities predominantly reside on the hill-sides, tending to rice terraces amidst the picturesque plateau adorned with stunning rock formations. Check-in and spend the night in Dong Van.

Embark on a picturesque drive to Cao Bang today, passing through valleys, mountains, villages, and waterfalls. This journey is an adventure filled with stunning landscapes. As you arrive in Cao Bang in the late evening, settle in for an overnight stay and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Today, you'll head to Ban Gioc Waterfall, renowned as the most serene waterfall in Vietnam, traveling through the picturesque Ma Phuc pass. Arriving at Ban Gioc before the crowds, you'll capture the best photo opportunities before continuing to Nguom Ngao Grotto. Take a brief trek to explore the grotto and then return to Cao Bang. The remainder of the day is free, and you'll spend another night in Cao Bang.

DAY 15: CAO BANG - BA BE LAKE

Embark on a journey through the scenic Ma Phuc pass, heading towards Ba Be National Park. Enjoy a boat ride along the Nang River, allowing ample time to explore Ba Be Lake, Puong Grotto caves, the lively Dau Dang waterfall rapids, and the charming Widow Island. Visit the stilt houses of the Tay community in Bo Lu Village, where you'll experience a homestay for the night.

DAY 16: BABE - HANOI

Take a leisurely stroll along the riverfront, exploring charming villages and hiking in the upper reaches of the lake, surrounded by impressive limestone cliffs and mountains. Visit Hua Ma Cave, the largest dry cave in Northeast Vietnam. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and then begin your journey back to Hanoi. Check in upon arrival and spend the night in Hanoi.

DAY 17: HANOI - HALONG BAY - NIGHT ON CRUISE

On the top of the mountain, you can see corner of magical Halong Bay ... 16:45      Back to the cruise. Relax and enjoy sunset on the sun deck. 06:00      Morning call (if you request).  06:30      Enjoy Tai Chi instructions on the sundeck in 30 minutes whilst cruising to Luồn cave. 07:00      Enjoy light breakfast in the restaurant (coffee, tea, fresh milk, water, pastries, bread, egg, fresh fruit, cereals will be served in the dining room). 08:00      After breakfast, take a guided tour to visit Luon cave - one of the cave open to the form beautiful about endemic the vegetation of the Halong Bay. Visit Luồn cave by a traditionally woven (bamboo) boat rowed by a local boatman. 08:30      Then come back to cruise, relax and check out of cabin. Please put your luggage outside the door. Our porters will collect and get them ready on the Pier for you. Finally, the cruise disembarks in International Tuan Chau harbour. 10:45      Transfer by tender back to Tuan Chau harbour and disembarkation. Enjoy a scenic 5km boat ride along the Son River, witnessing the picturesque riverside life. Explore the Phong Nha Cave, Southeast Asia's longest cave, marveling at the stunning limestone formations and unique stalactites. By 11:30 AM, return to Xuan Son marina and have lunch at a local restaurant featuring specialties of the region. At 1:30 PM, continue your journey to visit the Paradise Cave, discovered in 2005 by the British Cave Research Association. Take an electric car to the cave's entrance and admire its grandeur, featuring beautiful stalactites with unique shapes and formations. At 2:00 PM, depart for Hue, passing through the Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, and Dong Ha Town, all situated in the Demilitarized Zone of the Vietnam War. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Da Nang. Depart to Ba Na Hills. Arrive at the cable car station Suoi Mo, up the cable car route that achieves 4 world records. Freedom check-in the 150-meter long "Golden Bridge" supported by the huge hands. Visit the Le Jardin, Debay Wine Cellar of French. Visit the Linh Ung pagoda, admire the 27m high Buddha statue, Loc Uyen Garden, Quan Am Cac. Continue to Gare Debay use the second cable car route to go to the top of Ba Na. Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure in the morning. Afternoon: Transfer to Hoi An Visiting Camthanh coconut boat ride forest - Hoi An. Here, visitor will enjoy the scenery of the countryside and participate in recreational programs with local fishermen. Join in activities such as crab fishing…  Turning coconut leaves into funny souvenirs, Catching mud-crabs and exploring water coconut forest, Enjoying the skills of fisherman with bamboo basket boats and Taking pictures… Participating in folk games: Catching fish, Cross the footbridge, Break the pots, Listening to wartime story related to the water coconut forest. Walking to visit and shopping in Ancient Town, admire Hoi An at night flickering in multi – colored lantern. You will visit Japanese Covered Bridge, The Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Old House. Silk Village- Located only about a kilometer away from Hoi An Ancient Town's bustling center, the Hoi An Silk Village breathes new life into the 300 year-old history of the Maritime Silk Road. The Village is surrounded by verdant mulberry gardens, lotus ponds and horticulture farms. Our guide will pick you up to explore the charming flower city of Vietnam. Begin with a scenic cable ride for a panoramic view of the lush city. Visit the Truc Lam Meditation Monastery, showcasing exquisite Vietnamese design, and enjoy a view of Tuyen Lam Lake, surrounded by abundant greenery. Continue the journey to Datanla Waterfalls, a picturesque waterfall in Dalat. Move on to the Valley of Love, where you can capture beautiful photos amid blooming flowers. Explore the XQ Historical Embroidery Art Village, known for creating intricate and refined embroidered pictures that require three years of craftsmanship. Head to the Old Train Station and the whimsical Crazy House. Afterwards, transfer to the Summer Palace, once the retreat for the last emperor, Bao Dai, and Queen Nam Phuong during the summers. Conclude the day with a visit to the Domain de Marie Church, a beautiful church showcasing French architecture.

DAY 26: DA LAT - LAK LAKE

At 08:00, our guide will pick you up for a direct transfer to Lak Lake, covering approximately 160 km. Take the scenic country road to explore various attractions, including the Dalat agriculture farm showcasing abundant vegetables, flower-filled greenhouses, coffee plantations, the silk village where you can observe the silk-making process (from silkworm keeping to silk factory), and the captivating Elephant Waterfall. Take a moment to savor Vietnamese coffee at a local cafe and observe the traditional method of making rice wine. Upon reaching Lak Lake, visit the Jun Minority Village, inhabited by the M'Nong ethnic group. Enjoy a cultural experience with a gong music and dancing show accompanied by local wine. Spend the night at Lak Lake.

DAY 27: LAK LAKE - BUON ME THUOT - HO CHI MINH CITY

Embark on a boat journey or ride on the back of an elephant to reach the M’Lieng minority village, capturing picturesque moments of people engaged in farming and fishing along the way. Continue the adventure to Ban Me Thuot City for lunch. During the journey, explore three impressive waterfalls in the Central Highlands. The first stop is Dray Sap, where water cascades down from a high cliff, creating mist that resembles smoke. "Dray Sap" translates to "Smoke Waterfall" in the Ede language. Dray Nu waterfall, formed by the Krong Kno river, is the next destination. Water rushes down steep cliffs, creating a majestic and rumbling waterfall. Conclude the visit with Gia Long waterfall (Dray Sap Thuong), located 6km from Dray Sap, completing the trio of waterfalls, including Gia Long, Dray Nur, and Dray Sap in the Serepok River. Upon arriving in Ban Me Thuot, explore the Ethic Museum and a Minority Village. Later, transfer to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. DAY 28: HO CHI MINH - CU CHI TUNNELS

At 08:00, our guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, located 75 km from downtown. Explore the tunnels, watch a documentary film, observe a hand-made weapon gallery showcasing guns, land mines, bamboo traps, and even crawl into the authentic tunnels. Return to Saigon and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Former Presidential Palace, the War Crime Museum, and the central architectural complex featuring the Notre Dame Cathedral, City Hall, Municipal Theater, and Ben Thanh Market. At 18:45, embark on the Saigon Foodie Tour by motorbike, immersing yourself in the organized chaos of Saigon's traffic. Ride through districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 to taste popular street foods and experience the evening life of Saigonese. Begin with a stop at a local food store famous for "Bánh Xèo" - Vietnamese Pancake served with pork, shrimp, bean sprouts, and various vegetables. Move on to try "Ốc Bươu Nhồi," Stuffed Snail with Chopped Pork, and then head to local parks to join evening exercise with locals and enjoy the city panorama after dark. At 08:00, your guide will pick you up from the hotel, and you'll depart for Cai Be. Along the way, enjoy the scenic view of green rice paddy fields stretching to the horizon. Upon arrival in Cai Be, a boat ride takes you to the floating market, where sellers and buyers engage in lively bargaining and exchanging goods from their boats. While not as bustling as before due to the completion of the My Thuan and Can Tho bridges, the market remains an intriguing visit. Consider making an optional stop at local workshops to witness the production of rice paste, coconut candy, pop-rice, and popcorn. Explore the handicraft village, observing the creation of rice-net for spring rolls, fish sauce, Soya sauce, and the weaving of coconut leaves for cottage roofing. Visit the Cao Dai temple in Cai Be and witness the midday ceremony if possible. Indulge in a delicious lunch at an ancient house over 170 years old or in the shade of local orchards on An Binh Island. Afterward, a rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside, allowing you to experience the tranquility of smaller canals. Witness traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves, observe local farmers engaged in various activities, and have the opportunity to connect with them. Learn how they catch fish or pick fruits using ancestral methods in the Mekong Delta. Boat to Vinh Long town, followed by a land transfer to Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta. Check in upon arrival and unwind. Overnight in Can Tho.

Established by French colonists who initially named it the Church of Saigon (French: l'Eglise de Saïgon), the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880. -        Saigon Central Post Office is a post office in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, near Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, the city's cathedral. It counts with Gothic, Renaissance and French influences. It was constructed between 1886 and 1891 and is now a tourist attraction. -        Thien Hau Pagoda in Cho Lon - a Chinese-style temple located on Nguyen Trai Street in Cho Lon (China Town) - District 5, dedicated to Thien Hau, the Lady of the Sea, also known as “Mazu” (“Tian Hou” in Chinese).
